The International Sustainability Marketing Competition (ISMC), a hallmark event by the Clean Recycling Initiative?, stands as a beacon of excellence, inviting post-secondary students from across the globe to engage in a competition like no other. This annual case competition is more than just an event; it’s a movement towards integrating sustainability into the fabric of our future marketing leaders’ strategies.

– ABOUT US
Whether you are a part of the textile industry or just a regular consumer of textile goods, e.g., apparel, home textile, etc., we all produce a massive amount of textile waste, and it contributes to the environmental crisis we face today.  Clean Recycling Initiative? is a Montreal, Canada based non-profit organization. The organization offers patent-pending technology solutions for all sources of textile waste from the entire verticals of textile manufacturing, consumption and disposal, without using toxic chemicals nor creating microplastic contaminations in water.

– TASK
Create a marketing campaign idea that will educate the general public on the environmental issues from textile waste and the innovative technology solutions offered by Clean Recycling Initiative?

– ELIGIVILITY
Open to students currently enrolled in post-secondary programs, including undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, around the world and recent graduates (Spring 2023 earliest).  All fields of studies are accepted for entering into the competition.

– COST
No cost to participate and compete!?

– FORMAT
All events take place on-line.  Eligible students / recent graduates can participate in the Info Session, Submission, etc., digitally.?

– REQUIRED ELEMENTS
1. Mood board laying out your ideas (no specific format required)
2. Video / Audio to present your ideas to the judges?
3. Creative / fun campaign slogan?
4. Example social media post(s) in .png,.jpg, etc.?

The ISMC is not just a competition; it’s a global classroom where participants delve into the pressing environmental issues of our time, learn about the pitfalls of greenwashing, and emerge with a solid foundation in sustainable marketing strategies. Our mission is clear: to imbue the next generation of marketing professionals with a sustainability-first approach to their future endeavors.
